1976 Bicentennial Gibson Thunderbird in excellent + condition. Original natural finish with very few marks. This bass comes with the original case and metal covers which are also in condition. Serial number:00244244. No headstock break or repair. All original and complete including the case.
The bass has through-neck construction with a reverse body shape. One-piece Mahogany centrepiece; Mahogany wings. Rosewood fretboard, laminated pickguard, 2 humbucking pickups, 34 & 3-8 inch scale length. Modelled directly from the 1963 Thunderbird. New additions in 76 were the 3 point bridge and the Red, White & Blue insignia with 76 written underneath. Original pickups, pots and hardware. This is a very well looked after bass with only a few very small signs of wear. The frets are very clean. All-round superb bass.
It's been fully set up in our workshop with very low action. It has a big thumping sound. The visible pot dates read 137-7636 (36th week of 1976). Weight 9 lbs 5 oz. Nut width: 38.5 mm. Depth at 1st fret: 19.85 mm. 3-month warranty included
