1972-75 Gibson EB3 bass guitar in fair/good condition. Supplied in a non original hard case. The pickguard is not original and the truss rod cover is a home-made replacement.
There are a fair few scuffs and dings on the body, particularly around the edges. The back of the neck has had quite a bit of finish removed, (possibly sanded) but is relatively free from dings. There is an extra screw hole from a re-positioned strap button on the tip of the lower horn. The cherry finish on the face of the body has mostly faded but it remains on the back. The frets are in good condition, the neck is straight with no issues and the truss rod has plenty of room to move. All electronics and hardware are in good working order.
It's been fully set up in our workshop and is strung with flat-wound strings. It has a big thumping sound. Serial No.140662. The pot dates that are visible date to 1978, so they must have been replaced. Weight: 9 lbs 9 oz / 4.34 kg. Nut width: 41.2 mm. Depth at 1st fret: 20.5 mm.
