1968 Gibson EB-2D, Cherry finish in very good condition. All original including the case. The only thing missing is teh string mute mechanism. All-round excellent bass with a wonderful tonal range. This bass has been fully set up in our workshop. Serial number:527471. Weight:9lbs 3.5oz. Nut width: 38.5 mm. Depth at 1st fret: 20.65 mm.
The body finish is very clean with few signs of wear, the binding is also in good shape and the Cherry Red is still quite vibrant. The back of the neck and headstock have a fair few dings. The frets are in good shape and the neck is straight with has no issues. The metalwork is clean and still shiny.
The EB2D has a powerful Gibson humbucking pickup at the neck position and mini-humbucker by the bridge with separate tone and volume controls + Baritone switch. 30 1/2 inch scale. The EB2D has a Maple body with a central tone block, Mahogany neck with a Rosewood fingerboard and 20 frets.
