1967 Fender Precision Bass in excellent condition with a sunburst finish over an Alder body. Serial:200695. Nice and light weighing only 8lbs 5.5oz / 3.78kg. All original and complete including the case, leather strap and owner's manual. This bass also features lollipop tuners which is rare to find on a Precision. It has a C-profile maple neck with a beautifully figured rosewood fingerboard, a 7.25" radius and pearl dots. It is supplied with a 3-month warranty and a 14-day returns policy.
The Sunburst finish is still vibrant. There are a few very minor scuffs and tiny dings on the body but nothing major. There is some wear on the back of the lower horn which is usually the result of something (most likely a cable) being left in the case and disturbing or "burning" the finish. (sometimes referred to as curly cord burn) Otherwise, it's very clean. The neck has a lovely grain with very little wear The frets are clean and in great shape with plenty of life left in them. The headstock has a few very tiny dings around the top edge and some light lacquer checking but it is mostly free from wear. It's an all-around excellent bass, a joy to play and sounds incredible.
This bass has been fully set up in our workshop and is strung with a fresh set of Rotosound round-wound strings. The pickups have original winds. The pencil dates on the pickups are very hard to read but I believe one half reads 6-15-65 (June 15th 1965) The neck is date stamped Dec 67 C. Both pots date to the 42nd week of '66. Weight: 8 lbs 5.5 oz / 3.78 kg. Nut width: 41.4 mm, depth at 1st fret 21.9 mm. Pickup DC resistance 10.64 K
