1968 Fender Jazz in very good condition, Sunburst finish with a Tortoiseshell guard, maple neck and a Rosewood fingerboard with pearl blocks & binding. Serial number 221789. Aside from the metal pickup cover this bass is all original with untouched solder. The pickups date to 68 and all 3 pots date to the 18th week of 66. (pots dating to 66 are commonly found in Fender basses from 66-69) The case has the 1966 logo on it but that doesn't mean it couldn't have left the shop back in 68 with this case.

This bass is a great player with a superb tone. There are a few dings, scuffs and scrapes to the finish, mainly around the edge of the body and some buckle rash on the back. The neck and headstock are very clean with just a small patch of wear on the face of the headstock. The frets are in great shape having been dressed in our workshop. The plating on the tuners is worn in a few places. All electronics and hardware are in good working order.

The bass has been set up in our workshop with a med/low action with a set of D'addario chrome flat-wound strings. It has a great sound with a warm tone and plenty of growl. This is a great bass to play and weighs 9 lbs 3 oz. The truss rod works as it should without issue. The nut width is 37.8 mm. Depth at 1st fret 21.5mm.
