1968 Fender Jazz Bass with a Sunburst finish and a Rosewood fingerboard in excellent + condition. It's all original and complete including the case. The finish has only the smallest of scuffs and dings and the Sunburst is very vibrant. There is a small rectangular area on the front of the upper horn where (presumably) a sticker had previously been which has left an outline. The back of the neck and headstock are in great shape with very little playwear and some light lacquer checking. The frets are in excellent condition showing virtually no wear.
This is a superb Jazz bass, great player with a superb tone. All electronics and hardware are in good working order. The pots all date to the 42nd week of 1966, the neck stamp reads Jan 68 B. ( I think the B is a mistake - the neck is definitely what Fender denote to be A) Excellent neck profile that feels really great in the hand. The neck is straight with no dead spots. Fully set up in our workshop with a set of flat-wound strings. Serial: 245313. Weight: 9 lbs 7 lbs. Nut width: 37.75 mm. Depth at 1st fret: 22.45.
