1966 Fender Jazz bass, Sunburst finish in excellent condition. Tortoiseshell guard, Rosewood fretboard, original case. This is a rare transition period, dot & bound Rosewood neck, Jazz Bass. This bass is a great player with a superb even sound right across the fretboard.
The Sunburst finish has light lacquer checking throughout and a few small scuffs and dings, mainly around the edges. There's light play wear to the finish on the back of the neck from the 3rd fret area up to the 9th. All hardware and electronics are in good working order. It has original frets which are in great shape with very little wear. The neck is stamped July 66 A. The pots all date to the 18th week of 1966, (the tone capacitor has been changed) The pickups have both been rewound and are dated 9-9-66. Fully set in our workshop with a great action and a fresh set of Rotosound nickel round-wound strings. Serial number: 160899. Weight: 8 lbs 15 oz. Nut width: 37.5 mm. Depth at 1st fret 21.5 mm. It comes with a 3-month warranty.
