1982 Fender Jazz Bass, Natural finish over an ash body. It's in excellent condition. The serial number on the headstock is from 1978 whilst the end of the neck is dated to 1982 as are the the pickups and volume pots (the tone pot is a newer CTS unit) This is common with Fender instruments from 78 through to 1982 as unused parts were gradually used up. Supplied in a relatively new Tourtech case. It comes with a 3-month warranty and a 14-day returns policy.
The body and neck are very clean. The headstock has a few light scuffs and dings along the top edge. The frets show only light signs of wear and have lots of life left in them. The truss rod works as it should and the neck is straight.
Fully set up in our workshop with a fresh set of nickel Rotosound round-wound strings and low action giving great playability. Serial S865354. Weight: 11 lbs 1.5 oz / 5.03 kg. Nut Width 38.7 mm. Depth at 1st fret 20.4 mm. The pickups have untouched solder, original winds and both are dated to 1982. Only one pot has a visible date stamp (26th week of '82) The tone pot is changed.
