1973 Fender Precision Bass with a fretless rosewood fingerboard. Sunburst finish in excellent condition. It's nice and light weighing in at 8 lbs 12 oz / 3.96 kg. All original with period correct Fender hard case. (I have hesitated in calling the case original to the bass as the logo places production slightly earlier than the bass - although it is possible that the case was hanging around in the shop at the time of purchase)
This is a great Fender P-Bass with a straight neck showing only light wear. There are a few small scuffs and dings in the finish, mainly around the edges of the body. The maple neck and headstock display very little wear and have a birdseye figuring. All hardware and electronics are in good working order and the truss rod is fully functional.
This bass has been fully set up in our workshop with a fresh set of Ernie Ball Cobalt flat-wound strings. Both pots date to the 10th week of '73. The pickups date to 73, as does the neck. Serial number: 506663. Nut width:40.7 mm. Depth at 1st fret: 21.5 mm. Pickup DC resistance: 10.27 k.
