1973 Fender Mustang Bass in good condition, Competition blue finish, maple neck with a Rosewood fingerboard. It's missing the mute mechanism but is otherwise all original and complete including the case. A 3-month warranty and a 14-day returns policy are included.
It has a great playing straight neck and the frets are in very good condition. The body, neck and headstock have numerous small scuffs and dings but everything remains structurally sound with no breaks or repairs. The truss rod works correctly without issue. All electronics work and sound great. Under the guard there is a patch of finish removed and what looks like black shielding paint in and around the pickup cavity.
It's been fully set up in our workshop with medium-low action and a set of round-wound strings. The pot's date to the 10th week of 1973. The pickups are dated '72. The neck stamp is very difficult to read so no date can be determined. Serial: 412525. Weight 7lbs 7oz / 3.37kg. Nut width: 40mm. Depth at 1st fret:21.6mm.
