1973 Fender Mustang Bass in excellent condition. It has a beautiful sunburst finish which is still very vibrant and a Rosewood fingerboard. It's all original and complete aside from the missing mute sponge. It comes supplied in a new Fender gig bag.
It has a great playing straight neck and the frets are in excellent condition. The body finish has a few small scuffs and tiny dings, mainly around the edges of the body but nothing major. The neck and headstock are extremely clean with just a couple of small scuffs on the top edge of the headstock. All electronics work and sound great.
This bass has been fully set up in our workshop with a set of flat-wound strings. The pots date to the 10th week of 73, the pickups are dated '73 and the neck is dated '72. The neck stamp reads 0400 1423. Broken down that reads 04 (Mustang bass) 00 (Rosewood board) 14 (14th week) 2 (of 72) 3 (3rd day of the week). Serial:384144. Weight: 7 lbs 13 oz / 3.54 kg. Nut width: 41 mm. Depth at 1st fret:21.6mm.
