1971 Fender Precision Bass, with a Sunburst finish and tortoiseshell pickguard. It has a maple neck with a rosewood fingerboard. It's in good condition and all stock and original other than some solder on the pots (there was an added ground wire which was unnecessary so we removed it). Original hard case included. It's nice and light weighing 8 lbs 10.5 oz / 3.92 kg.
Great straight neck and clean frets in excellent condition with very little wear. Warm tone with plenty of growl. All electronics and hardware are in good working order. The body has a number of scuffs & dings around the edges as well as 2 extra holes in the face of the body from a repositioned thumb rest. The neck has only light signs of wear. There are a few scuffs and small dings around the edge of the headstock but everything remains structurally sound with no breaks or repairs.
Fully set up in our workshop with a fresh set of D'Addario round-wound strings and low action giving great playability. Serial 330927. The pot's both date to '71 - only the tone pot has a visible week (16th week of '71). Both halves of the pickup date to '71. Nut width: 41.1 mm. Depth at the 1st fret: 22.6mm. Pickup DC resistance: 10.61k.
