1970 Fender Precision Bass in excellent condition with a sunburst refinish, tortoise-shell guard and a rosewood fingerboard. It's a superb bass to play with a fantastic tone, and it's nice and light (8 lbs 5 oz). The back of the neck has also been refinished. The tuners have been replaced with Schallers, and the pots have been changed. The bass is otherwise original. Supplied in a hard case with a Fender strap. The serial number indicates 1969 but as the pickups are dated 1970, I have gone with the latter to date this bass.
The body finish has a few light scuffs and dings, mainly around the edges, but overall, it's pretty clean. The finish on the back of the neck is relatively free from wear. The headstock has only light wear, with just a couple of small dings around the top edge. The frets are in excellent condition and have plenty of life left in them.
It's been fully set up in our workshop with a set of D'Addario round-wound strings. The truss works correctly and the neck is straight with great action. Serial:263691. The neck stamp is missing due to the refinish. The pickups have original winds and date to 1970. Nut width: 41mm. Depth at 1st fret: 20.5 mm. Weight: 8lbs 5oz / 3.77 kg.
