1966 Fender Precision Bass in excellent + condition with a sunburst finish over an Alder body. Serial:131485. Nice and light weighing only 8lbs 6oz / 3.8kg. Aside from the missing metal pickup cover, it's all original and complete including the case. It has a C-profile maple neck with a beautiful dark rosewood fingerboard, a 7.25" radius and pearl dots. It is supplied with a 3-month warranty and a 14-day returns policy.
The Sunburst finish is still very vibrant. There are a few very minor scuffs and signs of general playwear but nothing major. The neck has light playwear along one edge (G string side) but is otherwise clean. The frets are clean and in great shape with plenty of life left in them. The headstock has a few very tiny dings around the top edge but it is mostly free from wear. It's an all-around excellent bass, a joy to play and sounds incredible.
This bass has been fully set up in our workshop and is strung with a fresh set of Thomastik Infeld flat-wound strings. The pickups have original winds and untouched solder. The pencil dates on the pickups are impossible to read. (only one half seems to have one) The neck is date stamped Mar 66 C. Both pots date to the 18th week of '66. Nut width: 43.9 mm, depth at 1st fret 20.5 mm.
