1966 Fender Precision Bass in excellent + condition with a sunburst finish over an Alder body. Serial:150691. All original and complete including the case and leather strap. It has a wide, C-profile maple neck with a beautifully figured rosewood fingerboard, a 7.25" radius and pearl dots. Supplied with a 3-month warranty and 14-day returns policy.
The Sunburst finish is still vibrant. There are a few very minor scuffs and tiny dings around the edges but nothing major. There's a patch of wear on the front face but otherwise, the body is extremely clean. The neck has a lovely grain with very light playwear along one edge. (G string side) The frets are in great shape with plenty of life left in them. The headstock has a couple of very tiny dings around the top edge and some light lacquer checking but is mostly free from wear. It's an all-around excellent bass, a joy to play and sounds incredible. Weight: 8 lbs 7.5 oz / 3.84 kg. Nut width: 43.7 mm, depth at 1st fret 21.5 mm. Pickup DC resistance 9.68 K.
This bass has been fully set up in our workshop and is strung with a set of flat-wound strings. Unbroken solder throughout. The pickups have original winds. The pencil dates on the pickups are very hard to read but 66 is just about visible on one half. The neck is date stamped May 66 C. The date on the volume pot is obscured by solder - only the manufacturer code for Stackole (304) is visible. The tone pot dates to the 17th week of '66.
