1966 Fender Precision Bass, Lake Placid Blue refinish with a reproduction mint/white guard and a rosewood fingerboard. The neck is also refinished as is the headstock along with a reproduction decal. The metal covers are missing. It comes in a brand-new hard case. Supplied with 3-months warranty and 14-day returns policy.
The finish is near mint having been refinished very recently. It has a straight neck and the frets are in great condition with plenty of life left in them. Between the pickguard and the bridge, you can see a faint outline of a filled route. There looks to have been a mini-humbucker in the bridge position.
This bass has been fully set up in our workshop with a set D'Addario round-wound strings and really great action. The end of the neck is stamped Mar 66 C. Both pots date to early '66. The pickups have original winds and are both dated to August '66. Serial number:123042, weight: 9 lbs 4 oz / 4.2 kg. Nut width: 44.2 mm, depth at 1st fret 21 mm.
