1965 Fender Precision Bass with a sunburst finish over an Alder body. Serial: L76482. It's in good condition and all original except for the case and metal covers. It has a wide and slim C-profile maple neck with a beautifully figured rosewood fingerboard, a 7.25" radius and pearl dots. Supplied with 3-months warranty and a 14-day returns policy.
As you can see the Sunburst is still incredibly vibrant. There are several small scuffs and dings around the edges, a few of which along the edges have been touched up. There are also some larger patches of wear on the back of the body which, from our experience, is usually the result of something (most likely a cable) being left in the case and disturbing or "burning" the finish. (sometimes referred to as curly cord burn) Otherwise it's pretty clean. The neck shows minor signs of playwear but is overall very clean. The headstock has a few small dings around the edges and some light lacquer checking but is mostly free from wear. It's an all-around excellent bass, a joy to play and sounds incredible.
This bass has been fully set up in our workshop and is strung with a fresh set of D'Addario Chrome flat-wound strings and low action. The neck is date stamped Jul 65 C. Both pots are stamped 137 6528, dating them to the 28th week of 65. The pickup has original winds. The pencil dates are difficult to read but I think you can just about make out 8-?-65 for Aug 1965 on one half. The other half has the sponge stuck to it and cant be read. Weight: 8 lbs 14 oz / 4.03 kg. Nut width: 44.1 mm, depth at 1st fret 21.2 mm. Pickup DC resistance 9.73 k.
