1964 Fender Jazz bass in excellent condition. It has a nitro Sunburst refinish with a Tortoiseshell guard and rosewood fingerboard with clay dots. It also has a new nut and has been refretted with period correct size frets. The case is from 1966.
The finish is fairly new so displays only a little play-wear. The neck has light play-wear through the finish leaving it smooth in the hand. The headstock has some small scuffs and dings around the edges but nothing major and everything remains structurally sound with no breaks or repairs. There are a couple of splits in the pickguard both of which run through the screw holes so the guard stays in place.
This bass is a joy to play with a superb even sound right across the fretboard. It's been fully set up in our workshop with a great medium/low action. All hardware is in great condition including the truss rod which operates correctly.
It weighs 9 lbs 2.5 oz / 4.16 kg. Serial: L24561. The neck date is MAR 64A. All 3 pots date to early '64. Nut Width: 38 mm. Depth at 1st fret: 19.8 mm. Supplied with 3-months warranty and a 14-day returns policy.
