1964 Fender Jazz Bass with a Sunburst finish in good condition. Aside from the pots which are modern CTS replacements and the 2 screws holding down the metal pickup cover this bass is all original and complete including the case. It comes with a 3-month warranty and a 14-day returns policy.
The body finish has wear throughout including scuffs, dings and a large patch of buckle rash on the back. The back of the neck has playwear through the top coat leaving it very smooth in the hand. The headstock has small dings and scuffs, mainly along the edge. The tortoiseshell guard has only minimal shrinkage and no cracks. It has a rosewood veneer fretboard with "clay" dots. The frets are in great shape having been cleaned and dressed in our workshop. Everything remains structurally sound with no breaks or repairs. All hardware and electronics are in good working order. The truss rod works correctly, and the neck is straight. The action is set med/low - currently set at just a shade over 2mm at the 12th on the bass side.
Fully set in our workshop with great action and a set of round-wound strings. It's a great player with a superb, even sound right across the fretboard. Serial number: L26363. Weight: 8 lbs 15 oz / 4.06 kg. Nut width: 38 mm. Depth at 1st fret: 20.8 mm. The neck is stamped Feb 64A. The pickups have black bobbins and original winds.
