1962 Fender Precision Bass in good condition with a Sunburst finish over an Alder body. It has a wide C profile Maple neck with a beautiful dark rosewood fingerboard, a 7.25" radius and clay dots. This is a fantastic playing and sounding instrument. It has an amazing neck and original frets which are in excellent condition having been dressed in our workshop. There are a number of scuffs, dings and large patches of playwear in the body finish. The back of the neck also playwear throughout the finish. The headstock has a few small scuffs around the edges. Everything remains structurally sound with no breaks or repairs, including the pickguard which is fully intact.
This bass has been fully set up with a set of Ernie Ball flat-wound strings. The neck is straight and the truss rod works correctly. The neck date is 12/61, the body 1/62. Both pots date to the 52nd week of 61. The pickups have Black bobbins and original winds. All-around fantastic bass. It's nice and light weighing only 8 lbs 3 oz / 3.71 kg. Nut width: 43.47 mm. Depth at 1st fret: 20.8 mm. Pickup DC resistance: 11.18k.
