1962 Fender Jazz Bass, Olympic White - in good condition. Aside from 3 of the screws holding don the metal covers this bass is all original and complete including untouched solder, the original mute kit and the case. (1 case latch replaced) Beautiful Tortoiseshell guard, rosewood slab fretboard with "clay" dots.
It's a great player with a superb, even sound right across the fretboard. It comes with a 3-month warranty and a 14-day returns policy. Serial number: 74562. Weight: 9lbs 1oz / 4.11kg. Nut width: 37.8 mm. Depth at 1st fret: 20.8 mm.
There's lacquer checking in the finish and finish wear around the edges and on the face of the body in the upper horn area. It also exhibits dings and scuffs and a small patch of buckle rash. The neck and headstock also have playwear, including a few very small dings on the back of the neck and a few scuffs along the top edge of the headstock. The frets are in great shape having been cleaned and dressed in our workshop. Everything remains structurally sound and all hardware and electronics are in good working order. Minor shrinkage to the pickguard but it remains crack free. The truss rod works correctly.
The neck is stamped, Apr 62A. Both pickups have original winds. The pots all date to the 12th week of '62. Untouched solder throughout. Fully set in our workshop with great action and a fresh set of nickel Rotosound round-wound strings.
