1958 Fender Precision Bass in very good condition. 3-Tone Sunburst finish, maple fingerboard, anodized guard. All original and complete with untouched solder throughout and the original hard case. It's very light, weighing only 8 lbs 4 oz / 3.75 kg. It comes with a 3-month warranty and a 14-day approval period.
This bass is a joy to play, and what an amazing tone it has! The finish is still very vibrant with very little fade. There are nicks and dings as well as lacquer checking and a patch of buckle rash. The back of the neck is fairly clean with just a few small bits of wear. The fretboard is mostly free of wear but does have lacquer checking throughout. The frets are in excellent condition with plenty of life left in them. The headstock is in good condition with just a few scuffs around the the edges and some lacquer checking.
Fully set up with a fresh set of D'Addario Chrome flats. The action is fantastic and set medium/low (around 2.2mm at the 12th) Both pots date to the 25th week of '58. The pencil dates are 11/58 in the pickup cavity and 12/58 on the end of the neck. All-around fantastic bass. Serial: 33985. Nut width: 44 mm. Depth at 1st fret: 20.8 mm. Pickup DC resistance: 10.92 K.
