1967 Epiphone Rivoli, Cherry

1967 Epiphone Rivoli, Cherry Red finish in good condition. This bass was made in Kalamazoo, Michigan, serial:101909.

The body finish has a few small scuffs and dings but nothing major. The back of the neck and headstock have more extensive wear and tear but everything remains structurally sound with no breaks or repairs. This bass has been set up with flat wound strings. This is a fantastic bass with low action allowing for smooth playability up and down the neck.

The Rivoli Bass was Epiphone's first electric bass, It debuted in 1959, and it was the equivalent of Gibson's EB-2, a semi-hollow body archtop modelled after the Gibson ES-335. Single-bound laminated maple top, back, and sides. One-piece mahogany neck, 9.5" radius rosewood fretboard with 20 jumbo frets and inlaid Pearloid dot position markers and a short scale length of 30 1/2 inches.
