1966 Fender Vibro Champ Blackface in very good condition. This amp is 110V and comes supplied with a step-down transformer. This little Blackface-era Fender amp delivers five watts of pure tube tone through a recently fitted Weber Alnico speaker. It has a sparkling clean tone which can be pushed into lightly compressed overdrive once the volume is up to 5. It also benefits from Fender's beautiful sounding tremolo circuit. There are few very small scuffs to the tolex, a small tear in the grill cloth in the bottom left corner and some light pitting to the metal faceplate. It comes with an aftermarket Fender footswitch.
Recently serviced with new Sprague orange drop caps, a few smaller electrolytic. It's also had a new output transformer fitted and a new multi-section can cap. It's had a 3 pin power cord fitted and the death cap removed. New tubes: JJ 5Y3 rectifier and 6V6. Tung sol pre amp. The original power transformer dates to January 66. The pots have a mixture of dates ranging from mid 65 through to very early 66. The tube chart is missing. Serial: A12437. Weight: 8.43kg.
