1979 Rickenbacker 4001, Olympic White finish. The case appears to be period correct and quite similar to a Fender or Music Man case of the era. I don't think it came with the bass. Although the neck is quite chunky the action on this one is like butter and nice and low allowing for quick and smooth movement up and down the neck.

Moderate play wear with a few small nicks and dings to the finish on the front and some buckle rash on the back. There are also a few dings on the headstock. The truss rods work as they should. The action is set nice and low. The frets are in great shape. The string mute foam is completely unworn and either never used or replaced, I'm not sure.

All electronics and hardware are in good working order with no issues. The pickup cover is missing. The Silver top from the Treble volume is also missing. The Pickups, pots and hardware are all original. The pots date 76, the serial is from August 1977. All in all this Rickenbacker plays & sounds great. This bass is ideal for a collector or player. Fully set up by my technician with a great playing action. Weight 9.7lbs. Serial number: QH 3428.
