1966 Gibson EB2D, Cherry Red finish, other than the extra screw holes by the bridge (seemingly added to accommodate a different bridge ) and the missing metal cover & mute mechanism, this bass is all original including the case. Maple body with a central tone block, Mahogany neck with a Rosewood fingerboard and 20 frets.

The Cherry finish has faded slightly. The body neck and headstock have quite a lot of checking to the finish. The binding is intact and has mellowed to more of a creamy yellow. There are numerous chips and dings to the finish particularly around the edges of the headstock. The frets are in great shape having been dressed by my tech. The neck is straight and has no issues. Everything remains structurally sound. Powerful Gibson humbucking pickup at the neck position and mini humbucker by the bridge with separate tone and volume controls + Baritone switch. 30 1/2 inch scale.

Fully set up by my technician. All round excellent bass. Serial number:894576. Weight:8lbs 13.5oz . Nut width: 1.521" . At 12th: 1.974" . Depth at nut 0.850". At the 12th: 0.983". Pickup ohms: Neck:27.89 / Bridge:6.93.
