1987 Rickenbacker 4001 V63 Mapleglo with walnut headstock wings, toaster/horseshoe pickups. The only thing non-original is the case. The case is a '70s Rickenbacker case. It has a cresting wave style maple body, white pickguard, through-body maple neck, 20-fret rosewood fingerboard with pearl dot inlay, fixed bridge, two-per-side tuners, chrome hardware.

This 1987 Rickenbacker 4001V63 is in excellent condition, showing only light signs of use. Everything plays and sounds great. The frets are in excellent condition. All electronics and hardware are in good working order with no issues. The Pickups, pots and hardware are all original. The pots date to the 49th week of 86, the serial number: A0-9912 dates the bass to January 1987.

All in all this Rickenbacker plays & sounds great. This bass is ideal for a collector or player. The low end is smooth and round, the high end punches through nicely. Fully set up by my technician with a set of flat wound strings and a great playing action.

Weight 9.4lbs. Neck dimensions: Nut width: 1.627" depth:0.88" Width at the 12th:2.066" depth: 0.938.
