1973 Fender Jazz bass, Sunburst finish in good condition. Maple neck and fingerboard with Black block inlays and binding. All original with the exception of one rewound pickup and the case. It's missing the metal pickup and bridge covers and the inner edges of the both pickup cavities have had a fraction of a mm sanded off, possibly to allow the pickups heights to be adjusted more easily? The clear coat and yellow is still present at the bottom of the pickup cavities and therefore untouched.

This is an excellent bass, I personally love these Maple neck Black block Jazz basses. I owned one for many years. This bass has tons of tone, the growl from this bass is fantastic. With both pickups and tone up full this bass really sings withs tons of top end, the mids punch through and the bottom end holds it all together.

The finish shows play wear, with numerous chips and dings around the edges of the body. There's some very light buckle rash on the back. The neck and headstock are very clean with the exception of a small chip in the fretboard just past the 5th fret. The neck binding is all intact. The frets are in great shape having been dressed by my technician and there's years of life left in them. The truss rod works as it should and is still flush with the end the neck which is straight. There are a couple of extra holes by the bridge where someone had fitted a Precision bass bridge cover.

Fully set up by my technician with a smooth medium/low action giving great playability. Weight: 8.9 lbs. Serial: 371943. Neck dimensions: Nut Width: 1 & 1/2" / depth: 7/8ths" . Width at 12th: 2 & 1/8" / depth: 1"
