1964 Fender Jazz bass. Olympic White refinish, Rosewood fingerboard with clay dots. Replacement Tortoise shell guard, re-fretted up to the 7th fret. Original pickups and pots. All hardware other than the partial refret is original. Non original case.

The seller bought this bass in 1965 and has owned it ever since. Due to finish wear he refinished it Black himself in 1975, then 3 years ago it was professionally refinished White. The finish is extremely clean and shows lacquer checking. The finish on the neck and headstock is original and shows discolouration and wear.

There may be a few changes but this bass still has the classic pre CBS tone. It has been fully set up by my technician Chris Ward with a fresh set of Elite stadium series stainless steel round wound strings. The end of neck stamp reads March 1964, the pots date to the 50th week of 63. Serial: L21889. Weight: 9.1 lbs. The neck width at the nut is 1 & 1/2", at the 12th its: 2& 3/16". Depth at nut: 13/16' at the 12th: 1".
