1968 Gibson ES335 , vibrant sparkling Burgundy finish in exceptional condition and all original including the case. Serial: 959661. Weight: 8 lbs. This is a one owner guitar and has been looked after very well. The serial dates this as 1968, the pots are dated 1967.

This is simply the cleanest '60s Gibson I have ever seen. When you pop open the case the beautiful finish and clean hardware hit you straight away, it's magnificent. Then you pick it up and plug it in and again it's got the wow factor. There's only a few small areas of very light lacquer checking which is unnoticeable at first glance. The back of the neck shows up some of the Gold undercoat, the headstock shows a couple of tiny dings. The binding is all intact. The frets show hardly any play wear. The case is also in excellent condition.

The ES335 is Semi Hollow it has a Maple front back & sides, double cutaway arched Maple top with f holes, layered Black pickguard, Trapeze tailpiece, Rosewood fretboard with block inlays, 2 covered pickups; 2 volume, 2 tone controls with 3 position switch. Black headstock faceplate with pearl crown logo & 3 per side Kluson Deluxe tuners.

This guitar has been fully checked over & set up by my technician Chris Ward and is an all round excellent sounding and playing guitar. Set up with a low action allowing for very smooth movement around the fretboard. Also it has a big rich tone both plugged in and acoustically.

Neck width at nut: 1 & 9/16" at 12th fret: 2 & 1/16"

Depth at nut: 13/16" at 12th: 1"
