1960 Fender Precision Bass. Nitrocellulose Sunburst finish. Slab Rosewood fingerboard & C profile neck. It appears to have a changed nut, but otherwise original with the exception of the missing pickup cover and new Hiscox hard case. This bass plays and sounds amazing. The tone is superbly rich, warm and round which you can only get from these very early Fenders. The body shows plenty of wear, bumps & dings around the edges and butt end, with a large area of buckle rash on the back of the upper horn. The front of the body is relatively clean. The neck has seen plenty of action and therefore a lot of the finish has worn away from the edges allowing for very smooth movement. This can all be seen in the pics.

All hardware & electronics work with no issues including the truss rod. The frets show very little pitting. The headstock is relatively clean. The pickguard has a small area missing by the screw hole at the lower horn.

The pots date the 9th week of 1960, the body date is 12/59. All round fantastic bass. Extremely light weighing only 8.3 lbs, Serial: 44703. (a previous owner has scratched a telephone number onto the neck plate, its very faint and can only be seen at a certain angle) This bass has been very well looked after. Set up nice and low with a great action by my technician. Come and try it out at my showroom in Hoxton, London.
