**SOLD****SOLD****SOLD****SOLD** . . . . . Gibson Heritage Flying V in Ivory - Gibson Prototype 01 - Made in the Kalamazoo Gibson factory. This V was manufactured in 81 and finished, as the first ever Heritage V, in Ivory with a Rosewood board- as a prototype it was crafted out of premium mahogany as opposed to the standard Heritage timber of Korina. All electronics & hardware are in good working order. This V is completely original with the exception of the added strap lock buttons, including the hardshell case (though the handle has been replaced). Hardware is gold-plated and the Gibson pick-ups sound awesome. 1 added strap button on the back of the neck at the heel. So you have 1 original strap button in its correct position and 2 strap lock buttons 1 in its usual position (bottom) and one at the back of the neck. The only ding I can find on this guitar is at the tip of the upper horn. Great guitar. All electronics & hardware are in good working order. Frets are in great shape.

It was given to a member of an enormously successful band at the Namm show in early \\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\'82 in an attempt to tempt him back to using Gibson Flying Vs (his bands most famous/successful hit was recorded using a V but he had changed to using a telecaster, for which he is now somewhat synonymous). The guitar was brought back to the UK and eventually placed on sale in the guitarists friends Music shop, Rockbottom in Croydon.
