**SOLD****SOLD****SOLD**.........Vintage1967 Guild Starfire bass. Cherry red finish with original case. This bass is quite similar to the Gibson EB2. It comes with a Swedish-made Hagstrom pickup, which has a sweet, rich sound, with quite a bit more highs and a lot more output than the Gibsonís pickup. Two of the most innovative rock bassists of the psychedelic era, the Grateful Deadís Phil Lesh and Jack Casady of the Jefferson Airplane and Hot Tuna, were early users of the Starfire basses. The finish shows some buckle rash and a few dings to the body, mainly around the edges. The same can be said for the neck and headstock which also displays wear. Everything is structurally sound. . The binding is all intact although there are 2 areas where it has began to separate from the body. (in the dip of the 2 horns, see pics) The electronics and hardware work as they should. 2 extra screw holes visible in the body where someone has moved the thumb rests. The case is original and has no issues. The bass has been fully set up with flat wound strings by my technician.
