**SOLD****SOLD**Vintage 1965 Gibson ES-125-TDC. cherry sunburst finish on top, cherry finish on back & sides (14-fret) double bound (thin) 16 inch maple body, mahogany neck, rosewood fretboard, dot inlays, 20 frets, double bound (thin) 16 inch maple body, 2 dog ear P-90 pickups, two tone and two volume controls with 3-way switch, 1965 pot dates, black headstock face with gold logo, original Kluson Deluxe 3-on-a-plate tuners, 1-11/16\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\" nut, 24-3/4\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\" scale. The large tortoise plastic pickguard is unfortunately missing. The Cherry burst finish on the front of the body has all but gone, leaving a beautiful amber with checking throughout. There are very few dings to the body mainly around the edges with one larger are on the back at the edge of the lower bout. (please see the pictures) There is a small area of buckle rash. The back of the neck shows extensive wear and lots of checking. The headstock shows wear to the top edge and checking throughout. A previous owner had changed the tuners. ( thus the extra holes) The original Kluson tuners are now back on the guitar. It has an original maestro tremelo tail piece and there are no signs that a traditional trapeze tailpiece was ever on this guitar. It must have been custom ordered this way along with the metal, Bigsby bridge. The guitar comes in an SKB hard case.
