*SOLD**SOLD**SOLD*Beautiful 1963 Hofner Verithin, Cherry Red finish. All original including case. Serial number 131. Based on the Hofner Verithin six string semi, and hence featuring a double-cutaway body with a 1.25\\\\\\\" depth. In the UK Selmer catalogues from 1963 until 1971. Single dot fret markers and unbound fingerboard was used initially, followed very soon by a bound neck and bar type fret markers. ( as this example shows )

The condition is superb for its age and shows only minimal play wear. There are 2 small areas by the neck pickup where the finish has worn to the wood. One chip to the binding on the headstock but otherwise clean and structurally sound. All the electronics are original to the bass and are in good working order. The frets are in good shape. The pot codes end 223. The 22 is the week and the 3 represents the year. ( in this case 22nd week of 1963) This bass has been set up by my tech Chris Ward and is strung with black nylon strings.
