Vintage Guild JS-2 bass guitar in excellent condition. Black finish. Mahogony body with a three-piece mahogany neck with a short scale rosewood fingerboard & 21 frets. Extremely clean apart from one or two smalls chips to the finish on the back of the body. (see pic) The frets are in good shape as is the truss rod. Wooden bridge saddles. The volume & tone knobs have some nice detailing with a small Guild logo. 2 Guild humbucking pickups each with volume & tone control create a warm rich & deep tone. 3 way selector switch. All round excellent condition. Set up and ready to play with a nice smooth action. Nice and light weighing only 7.6lb. The serial number indicates 1972 , the pots are dated 1971. This bass comes in a brand new hard case.

The Guild JS series was launched in 1970 clearly as competition for the Gibson EB0 & EB3 models. Guild made the JS1(1 pickup) & JS2 (2 pickup) models
