1956 Fender Precision Bass. Two tone sunburst finish with lots of wear, mainly around the edges. Lightweight and resonant Swamp Ash body, maple neck and fingerboard. All original other than the reissue tweed case and the solder on the pots. Serial number: 15518. The body and neck date: 11/56.

This bass has a single coil pickup with a raised A pole piece, chrome volume and tone controls, a single ply ABS white pickguard, an original Fender Pat. Pend. metal bridge with two adjustment screws each for half and reverse gear tuners.

It sounds great, with huge tone and a bottom end that just growls at you ! The frets are in great shape with very little wear. There are a number of dings, scratches and general wear and tear as already mentioned. There is lacquer checking throughout. The headstock has all the same level of wear as the body. There a few patches on the neck & fingerboard where the finish has worn through.

This bass has been fully set up with a set of flat wound strings, a medium to low action and great playability. It's incredibly light, weighing only 8 lbs. Nut width: 43mm. Depth at 1st fret 22.75mm.
