1972 Fender Jazz Bass, original Black finish in very good condition with original case. Maple neck and fingerboard with Black block inlays and Black binding. All original other than a rewound back pickup. Also the pickup cavities and one end of the control cavity have the finish taken back to the wood. (this may have been done to make getting the pickups / control harness in and out more easily as they can sometimes be quite tight)

This is an excellent bass, with a nice slim neck. I personally love these Maple neck Black block Jazz basses. I owned one for many years in this very same finish. This bass has tons of tone and the growl is fantastic. With both pickups and tone up full this bass really sings withs tons of top end, the mids punch through and the bottom end holds it all together.

The finish shows only a little play wear, some light checking throughout the body and some dings around the edges. The neck and headstock are clean and the binding is all intact. The frets show only light wear and theres plenty of life left in them. The truss rod works as it should and the neck is straight.

Fully set up with a fresh set of strings and a smooth medium/low action giving great playability. Serial:342878. All 3 pots date to the 16th week of 71. Weight: 9 lbs 13 oz. Nut Width: 37.45mm. Depth at 1st fret: 22.24mm. The neck pickup reads 6.85 Kohms. The bridge 7.2 Kohms.
