1964 Burns Vistasonic Bass, Red Sunburst finish. The headstock was completely broken off in transit, so I've had it completely repaired and restored. The work has been done to highest of standards and a volute added to improve the strength. (see picture 24 onwards)

It has an offset double cutaway hardwood body with short horns, bolt-on neck, 20-fret rosewood fingerboard with white dot inlay, four-on-one-side tuners, chrome hardware, black inscribed pickguard, three Burns Tri-Sonic pickups, bridge/tailpiece, volume/tone controls, four-way tone selector switch (Treble, Bass, Contra-Bass, Wild Dog), 32" scale length. (it's often referred to as a 31.5" scale length but according to my tape measure it's more like 32")

This bass is in overall good condition but there are one or two areas that show play wear and dings. The frets are in good shape with only minimal wear. The Red has faded quite a bit from the finish on the front, the back is still quite vibrant. It has great tonal options including the "mad dog". It's been fully set up by my technician. The neck is straight and the action is medium to low allowing for a smooth transition up and down the neck. The tone is fantastic. The weight is 11lbs 5.5oz. Serial:4614. Width at nut: 1.659" . At the 12th: 2.049" . Depth at nut:0.860". At the 12th: 1.048".
