1982 Gibson Grabber G3, Black finish. All original with the exception of the new gig bag. Arrow-shaped heastock inspired by the flying V. Contoured body edge vaguely echoes the SG, its offset horns were clearly reminiscent of other popular makes, as was its bolt-on neck (4 bolt). The strings go through the body allowing for greater sustain and this bass definitely has that, along with a superb tone which can be heard in the sound file. Serial: 82702023. Weight:10 lbs 1.5oz.

The G3 features three single coil pickups wired in hum bucking configuration. The pickups were designed by Bill Lawrence. The pickup selector works as follows: Forward position activates the front and middle pickups in humbucking configuration. The back position activates the middle and back pickup in the same manner. The middle position activates all three pickups for what Gibson coined a "buck-and-a-half".

The body has play wear and a few small nick and dings, there's also a little buckle rash on the back. The frets are in good shape having been cleaned and polished by my tech.

Neck dimensions: Width: 1.634" at the nut , 2.148" at the 12th. Depth: 0.832 at the nut and 0.978" at the 12th. This bass has been fully set up by my technician with a fresh set of strings. Come and try it out at my showroom in Hoxton London.
