Vintage Guild JS-2 Bass Guitar in very good condition. Black finish. It's all original including the case. Mahogany body with a three-piece mahogany neck with a Rosewood fingerboard. The finish is generally clean although, there are a quite a few small scuffs and dings around the edges of the body and headstock. The frets are in good shape as is the truss rod. Wooden bridge saddles. The volume & tone knobs have some nice detailing with a small Guild logo. 2 Guild humbucking pickups each with volume & tone control create a warm rich & deep tone. 3-way selector switch. All round great bass, fully set up and ready to play with a nice smooth action. Nice and light weighing only 8lb 1.5oz. Serial: 71081.

The Guild JS series was launched in 1970 clearly as competition for the Gibson EB0 & EB3 models. Guild made the JS1(1 pickup) & JS2 (2 pickup) models.

This bass has been fully set up by my technician. The neck is straight and the action is medium to low allowing for a smooth transition up and down the neck. The tone is fantastic. With the baritone switch activated the sound is huge. The weight is 8lbs 7oz. Nut width:1.693".
