  • Regular price £2,795.00

1978 Musicman Stingray in very good condition. Canary Yellow Refinish, black pickguard, maple neck & fretboard. It is equipped with a black epoxy pre-amp, 2-band EQ and through-body stringing. It comes in a modern Music Man hard case. All original electronics except for the output jack and some wiring. The neck has had a refret with period-correct smaller frets and has had a new nut fitted. The mute pads have also ben replaced.  A 3-month warranty and a 14-day returns policy are included.

There is some buckle rash on the back of the body and a few minor nicks and dings around the edges. The back of the neck is very clean with just a few small dings. There's some wear to the fretboard, frets 1-7. The headstock is clean with very little wear. The neck is straight and plays smoothly and the truss rod works as intended with plenty of room to move. The frets are in excellent condition with lots of life left in them and have been cleaned and polished in our workshop.

This is an all-around excellent bass and has been fully set up in our workshop with a fresh set of Ernie Ball round-wound strings and has great action allowing for superb playability up and down the neck. The serial number is: B008951 . Weight: 10 lbs 6.5 oz / 4.46 kg. The neck pocket is covered with paint so there is no visible date stamp. The neck is dated Nov 1 1978. The pots date to early-mid '78. Nut Width: 42.5 mm. Depth at 1st fret 20.6mm.
