1976 Gibson Grabber, Natural

1976 Gibson Grabber with a natural finish over a maple body. All original and complete other than the case. Serial: 00181923. Weight: 8lbs 15.5oz / 4.07kg. Nut width 41 mm. Depth at 1st fret 20.7 mm.

It has an Arrow-shaped headstock inspired by the flying V. The contoured body edge vaguely echoes the SG, and its offset horns were clearly reminiscent of other popular makes, as was its bolt-on neck (4 bolt). The strings go through the body allowing for greater sustain and this bass definitely has that, along with a superb tone. It has a sliding humbucker giving you tonal options.

The body is very clean on the front. The back has some light buckle rash and there are a couple of smelling dings around the edges. The neck and headstock are clean with only a few small nicks and dings, although the finish on the fretboard has flaked in a few places. The frets are in good shape having been cleaned and dressed in our workshop and have plenty of life left in them. Fully set up with low action.

Condition Very good 8.25/10
Case Epiphone HSC
Weight 8lbs 15.5oz / 4.07kg
Serial Number 00181923
