2002 Fender '54 Precision Bass, Blue Flower, crafted in Japan. It's in near mint condition and comes with a faux leather case. The only reason for a "near mint" listing rather than simply mint is some light oxidisation to the metalwork and a couple of very tiny lacquer checks.
It has a solid basswood 'contoured' body. One-piece maple neck with a nut width of 42.6mm and a very comfortable medium profile. Full bass scale length of 34 inches with 20 frets and black dot position markers. Single circular string tree. Individual Gotoh cloverleaf reverse wind tuners. Small headstock with Fender 'Spaghetti' logo in silver with black trim and "Precision Bass" in black beneath it. Four-bolt neckplate. One black staggered-pole single coil pickup. Clear 'plexiglass' pickguard with seven screws. Two controls (one volume and one tone) on lower treble bout. Domed-top knurled chrome control knobs. Combined two-saddle bridge/tailpiece. Small transparent "Crafted in Japan" label on underside of neck.
This fine Japanese reissue of the second generation Precision bass (1954-1957) combines the great qualities of the (second generation) 1954 Precision Bass with Fender's famous late sixties 'Blue Flower' finish.
This bass has been fully set up with a low action. Serial number: Q013526 , weight: 8lbs 3.5oz. Neck dimensions, Nut width:42.6 mm. Depth at 1st fret: 21.8 mm.
