1966 Fender Jazz bass, Sunburst finish in exceptionally good condition. Tortoiseshell guard, Rosewood fretboard, original case. This is a transition period, dot & bound Rosewood neck, Jazz Bass. This bass is a great player with a superb even sound right across the fretboard. All original with untouched solder and original case. It's nice and light weighing only 8lbs 9oz. Hard to find them as clean as this.
The Sunburst finish has some very light lacquer checking and some very small dings, a few of which have been touched up around the edge. All hardware and electronics are in good working order. It has original frets which are in great shape with very little wear. The neck is stamped MAY 66 A. The pot dates are all 6618 (18th week of 1966) e solder is untouched they are certainly original to the bass.
Fully set in our workshop with a great action and a fresh set of D'Addario round-wound strings. Serial number: 143769. Weight: 8 lbs 9 oz. Nut width: 38 mm. Depth at 1st fret 20.8 mm. It comes with a 3-month warranty.
